GIFTEDNESS

Rebecca Blanz was born near Cologne and began her singing studies at the age of 17 at the Center for Highly Gifted Students at the Detmold University of Music. She completed both her Bachelor's degree in Detmold and her Master's degree in Vienna with distinction. Her impressive combination of a young, dramatic voice and charismatic charisma makes her a versatile and fascinating artist.

CAREER STEPS

After her studies, Rebecca Blanz made her debut at renowned opera houses and performed in China with La Scala, as First Lady (Magic Flute). She was a soprano in the opera studio of the Nationaltheater Mannheim and enjoyed success in roles such as the 1st Lady (Magic Flute), Wellgunde (Das Rheingold) and the 3rd Norn (Götterdämmerung), with which she made her South Korean debut. In addition to her opera work, she is also active in song and concert singing, with performances in halls such as the Vienna Musikverein, the Berlin Philharmonie and the Stadtcasino Basel. Her repertoire ranges from romantic works by Beethoven and Mendelssohn to modern compositions by Britten, Berg and Schönberg.

PRICES & COOPERATIONS

Rebecca Blanz has received numerous awards for her exceptional talent. Her honors include a scholarship from Deutscher Musikrat, the Cusanuswerk, the Richard Wagner Association Vienna, prizes at the National Singing Competition in Berlin and the Hauck-Aufhäuser Foundation's Cultural Prize. Her artistic development has been shaped by her collaboration with personalities such as Helmut Deutsch, Hedwig Fassbender, Allison Oakes and Thomas Quasthoff. She has also made a name for herself on recordings, with releases on labels such as NAXOS, cpo and oehms classics.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Rebecca Blanz is a soprano who impresses with a unique combination of a young dramatic voice and a wonderful stage presence. She captivates her audience with her singing, charisma and charisma. When she devotes herself to a work or a role, she always does so with her whole heart and soul, and that is what defines this versatile artist.
The work with directors such as Calixto Bieito, Barbora Horáková or Sergio Morabito / Jossi Wieler accompanies and inspires her, as does the work

CURRENT

After her opera studio, Rebecca Blanz is once again a freelancer and sings concerts in large concert halls and main churches as well as opera roles in various houses. In the 24/25 season she will make her debut in the Liederhalle Stuttgart and in the Philharmonie Essen, returning to well-known roles such as the First Lady (Magic Flute) or Paulus (Mendelssohn) and is looking forward to debuts such as G. Mahler's Rückertlieder with orchestra or Honegger's König David. She is working on her own programs and preparing for her academic dissertation. Her repertoire focuses on the German romantic repertoire, the "German Fach", through to modern works.
